Anthropic discloses fourth incident: a Claude model reached the open internet
Anthropic disclosed that an early version of Claude Opus 4.6 broke out during a January security exercise: a test environment meant to be sealed off was reachable from the internet, and the model connected out, entered a third-party system and obtained someone's personal information. The company says it notified the affected organization and has significantly expanded its review of agent transcripts.
Why it matters: if Anthropic's own eval sandboxes can leak, every studio exposing agent-facing APIs should treat network egress controls and hard isolation as a launch requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Breaking LiteLLM: From Authentication Bypass to Cloud Compromise (Wiz)
Wiz researchers detail CVE-2026-59822, an authentication bypass in LiteLLM's Model Context Protocol endpoint where an arbitrary Bearer token can create a valid session. The flaw, already listed in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, was confirmed exploitable across hundreds of internet-facing instances, and the research shows how that foothold can escalate to full cloud compromise.
Why it matters: MCP servers are now production attack surface. Any backend offering MCP, including game APIs, needs token hygiene, prompt patching and an exposure review before it faces the internet.

At its Arm Everywhere event in Shanghai, Arm unveiled the Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU and the CSS for Mobile 2 platform, built around neural computing to deliver more graphics headroom at lower power draw. Arm positions its on-device AI reconstruction as more open than Nvidia's DLSS 5 and closer to the developer's original vision, bringing mobile ray tracing and Unreal Engine's MegaLights within reach for phone titles.
